Back home! Feels wierd. I cant wait to be back on the road again. But this time it is Europe with start in Tilburg Holland (travelling Wednesday) and end in Istanbul Turkey. The gig in Guadalajara was a great ending on the south/latin American leg. We did a festival called Heaven and Hell that we headlined. On the airport in Mexico city on the way back home we met the guys of Lacrimosa AGAIN! We have been like magnets on eachother all this tour!After this tour it's 2011 and you thought it was over?? | This concert was absolutely the wierdest! IThe audience were so wild we have to tell them to calm down so nobodody actually got killed!! We were escorted from the airport to the hotel by a local motorcycle gang who would make Bandidos and the other idiots look like small toddlers (Which they really are also) But these guys were REALLY cool!Their device were FREEDOM, BEER AND HEAVY METAL!! No fucking gangster mentality! On the airport in San Jose we met the National team of El Salvador in Football!! We took photos of them and vice verca and some of them showed up at the concert! Great guys!! In 3 hours we are going to Mexico City! a place we always seem to retyrn to!!! | ||||

On my room after a chaotic day. 3 gigs in 3 days in three different countries and with around 2-3 hours of sleeping. So we went onstage halfdead, but when I heard and saw all people screaming along in Sitra Ahra it was like a vitamin injection. Loved every second of it!! Earlier today we were trying to figure out how the elevators worked on the hotel. Its almost like they have had a plan when they built it:"Lets complicate it as much as possible so it will be hard and inconviniant!!" Tomorrow we fly to Chile!! But in the evening! SITRA AHRA IS FINISHED!!! Finally everything is done. The tapes are now on their way to New York to be mastered. Me and Christofer sat down today for the first time and listened to the whole album from beginning to end. When the last song rang out we looked at eachother and smiled,and I could see that Christofers eye was wet and so was mine.Then Lennart Östlund entered the room and said: I think that this is something very very unique!!! Thats big words from a man of his magnitude.Thats the same guy thats behind albums with LED ZEPPELIN, SCORPIONS, ABBA, GENESIS....I can go on forever. And now he has mixed THERION! That is very big for me. That guy mixed albums when I was busy learning how to wipe my own ass! This is also the first album where I have been involved in the whole mixing process. Normally when I make an album I go in and do my things and then I go home and wait for the album to be finished. Not this time. Why?? Because I love Therion and I love this album that we have made. A big hug goes to Lennart Östlund and Chris Laney that helped us put together this piece of art! Not possible without them! Now....Worldtour plannings will start!! Sometimes I just love to be me :) |

| Last Sunday I first visited an aeroplane acrobatic show in a little town called Mercedes. VERY cool!!! Its really amazing what those guys and girls can do in the air!!!After that me and Miss Monzon attended a huge open air festival called Pepsi Music and saw what they call here Rock Nacional. I would call it Local Rockbands. Was very fun to see. Southamerican audience are crazy crazy crazy!!! Tomorrow I will go back to stockholm again and WORK!!!! | Today we said goodbye to our beloved friend and collegue Marcel Jacob. It was a beautyful cermony in Adolf Fredriks Church in Stockholm. My buddy Jeff Scott Soto sang in the church so the hair stood up in the neck and the tears squirted. Everybody was there to say a last farwell. The Poodles, Europe, His bandmates in Talisman,Göran Edman, Mats Leven, Erika Malmsteen, Chris Laney, Tommy Denander, Therion, etc etc. It was strange to meet everybody in this particular situation. Thank you Marcel for beeing my friend and the best bassplayer I ever worked with. I hope you found peace now, and jamming with Phil Lynnot somewhere on the other side! Goodbye my friend! | ||||

Hi folks! Played with Covered Call at Sweden Rock Festival yesterday. It was very cool and many people came and saw us! I also met two guys from Brazil that I met In Sao Paulo when Therion played there. They came up and said hi and took some photos.After the gig I drank some beers with Pontus Norgren from Hammerfall and the two guys of the band Tyketto. We took some funny photos together. I decided to leave for home today but first I went to say hi to my old friends of Candlemass. Its always cool to meet your old bandmates. And Rob the new singer and me really clicks!! He has also really became a great frontman of the band and he sang great!! I also had the joy of spending some time with Dusty Hill from ZZ top. He is a true gentleman and a real star!! when we tour with Therion we have a hell of a luxuirious bus. Its called a nightliner. Its like a home with everything that you might need. ZZ top rolled in to Sweden rock in THREE nightliners. One for each member.... Me and my daughter Daniella were suppose to take the train home from a small town near the Festival called Hässleholm. We came in good time to the station. The train was full.....So we just checked in to the City hotel here. She is sleeping and...yes, hear I sit! Tomorrow its time to go home!! | Went to see Tarja Turunen at the same place Therion played when we were here. It was a great gig even thou we came to late. She sang like an angel like always and the band was fantastic. | Yesterday we had like 15 C and today....well at least 30 C. What happened to the weather??? Well...Its a pleasant surprise! Today its a free day for me. I was working in La nave de Oseberg studio two days. Recording an Argentinian project. When I was there I ran into the singer of Rata Blanca who is one of the biggest hard rock acts in Argentina. Also Paul DiAnno(ex Iron Maiden) came by. I am usually not afraid of people. But I would never get into a fight with that man!! Tonight me and Miss Monzon will go out for some drinks and meet up with some friends! Great great great!!! | ||||

| Yesterday I finished all the vocals for the new Dark Illusion album. High pitched as usual.In the studio I met the guys from the very famous group HEAT! Happy easter!! Sweden is getting warmer now! Feels very good after a long winter! Last Sunday I went to a town in Sweden called Jönköping and played with Covered Call. It was great. We were playing together with Lions Share. The band Covered Call is going pretty well! This easter week has been pretty calm, I have done zero work, but next week I will do some stuff. I go in to the studio to make some Therion demos for the new album. I will do three songs. We'll see if they can make it on the album. |

Hello!!! First I like to say Iam sorry for deleting two messages by mistake in my guestbook..I am ashamed. But I will say thank u, because those letters were very nice as almost always here! One letter was about what kind of laws we have in Sweden. I write you a couple of strange ones: You are allowed drink alcohol in resturants and clubs when you are 18. But you have to be 20 to buy it in the store.. While prostitution is legal, it is illegal to use the services of a prostitute. You may only own half a meter down in the ground of any land you own. It is illegal to repaint a house without a painting license and the government’s permission. Strange laws..And the funny thing is that politicans who are supposed to be smart came up with this...WOW!!! But we have ONE good law that I am very proud of. It is not legal to spank your kid. Not even little.(you go to prison for it) We have a philosophy like: Violence leads to violence and a kid that are spanked learns that violence are okay, since their parents do it. | Had a day off from recordings yesterday. Me and Sandy the bassplayer (He is a exact copy of Stiffler in the movie American Pie) Went for some sightseeing during the day. We went to Postojnska caves. Extremely cool and very very big caves in the mountain. In the cave lives Animals that you only can find on this specific place.They can survive without food for years!! After that we went to Predjamski Grad. Its a castle that are built in directly to the mountain. Breathtakening! I will put up some photos later. After that we were editing some stuff in the studio and went in to Ljubljana Orto club for a couple of beers. Then straight to bed. And now we started to work with some backing vocals. This production looks and sound very promising!!! | ||||

My birthday was really one of a kind.... The Saturday before we were at The Red bell club to party and drink Tequila ( Even Ludmila had one...) And then on 21st we went up to my parents in law to just pick up some stuff. Well...Thats what I thought. When we entered the house Ludmila had invited all our friends there without me knowing anything. I was in total shock. Etherna guys, Leo and Teffy, Rodrigo from La NAve de Oseberg studios. Ludmila had made everything so perfect with food....drinks...everything. She is really the best. And her parents also that let us use their apartment for this occation. WOW! Tomorrow I will go home. | The clock is 10.00 in the morning and its already 35 degrees...Yesterday I started to do a recording session in the beautyful Osenberg studio in the heart of the city. I do some vocals for an Italian project called Steal seal. Its classic heavy metal. I have a bad cold that force me to take it very easy with my voice when I sing. But we are anyway came very far. Thanks to the gentleman Rodrigo that is engineering the recording. He is great and very funny and easy to work with. I speak often very good about Argentina and people often ask me if I can find any bad things about this country and its very hard for me to find something that is really bad for me as a guest in this wonderful city. But I found two things so far and those are just small things. China food is very bad here. small plates, dry food and taste like something you will buy in the supermarket for microwave oven.Its like Swedish pizza. If you come from Argentina and eat pizza in Sweden you will find it very boring. The worst pizza in Argentina is better than the best pizza in Sweden. Same goes for Ice cream. And second. I cant rent a DVD movie here. To rent a DVD movie you have to live here permanently. Here they look at security a different way. In Sweden I can for example leave my house with a window open and with the door unlocked and go to the store and I know that the chances of something bad would happen is very small. Here you cant even GET OUT of your house without a key. Security and privacy is a much bigger issue here than back home. I am not saying thats bad but its very different. However Buenos Aires feels more and more like my second home and I am in love with this city and also the people. Especially one of them.....And with her I went to Swedish class last evening. It was like travel back in time when I went to school. I was very impressed and proud how much they have learned in this short time. And I fel a little ashamed almost. Ludmilas(my girlfriend) Swedish is now better than my spanish. (Or Castellano as they say here)But my spanish is getting better and better and I sometimes have the balls to discuss things in spanish even if it must sound VERY funny in their ears. Do I miss something back home?? Yes,my kids and the rest of the people that I love! Guess thats natural. But apart from that nothing. Now its time to hit the studio again. I found a small spot in the apartment with internet connection so I can write more now and stay online. Bye for now! | ||||

Despite what everybody says about economical crises and all that, lets all hope something positive comes out of it!! I think it will! I just finished a lovely evening together with my family in Argentina. An absolute delicious dinner in good company. And this "crazy" family I happened to fall into put funny hats and masks on when its new years eve. A lot of music, laughter and singing. Thats the Monzons.....This year starts will contain a lot of work for me as usual. I start here in five days with a project and when I come home I will fly directly to Ljublijana Slovenia to do another thing. And after that we will start with the new Therion Album. | Today was a lazy day. I helped my neighbours to carry a big sofa three stairs up. Thats it. Ludmila my girlfriend left Sweden this Tuesday and that sucks. On saturday I will play on my (this is going to be a long sentence)sisters husbands sisters kid birthday. Her name is Kicki and we are very good friends also. Its gonna be fun. Yesterday I got a phonecall from a very happy Christofer Johnson who became a father to little Ludvig! (Or Ludwig) The whole family is home and well! The little man was a pretty big guy on 4 kilos!Last week we did a photosession for Covered Call with in my opinion one of the best and nicest photografers Michael Johansson. Yesterday I played and entertained for a bank. They were only twelwe people and they were actually funny. If you allow me to be cynical. To play for banks, IT people, or "suits" are mostly a disaster. These people are so into their work and their world so they had probably forgot how to have fun. Recorded demos the whole day yesyerday. Its time for the Swedish Melodyfestival again. The winner from that festival are competing for Sweden in eurovision songcontest. This is the time of year when every composer gets crazy and writes their asses of to get a chance to be in the final with their songs. And that means: Work for me and a few other singers!! Hi all!! On my way to do studiowork!! I have a question for you. As you all know I am not a religioius person. But respect ALL religions.(Even though its not science) My philosophy is to be as good as you can while you are alive. And also one thing I dont like is when people try to speak for god and push their beliefs on to me. And who consicer themselves as "better"or "more holy" than me because I dont share their thoughts. If god wants to say something to me I am sure he is powerful enough to do that in person. I will post one letter I got from a man. Let me hear what you guys think about it. Agree with me or not??Here it is: "hey man, I remember you saying you accept all religions and respect them but i must tell you, there is only one way and that is through the blood of Jesus Christ! no man is good enough to get to heaven by beeing a "good" person because scripture says in Romans "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". you see no one is good because we have all sinned, and religion is mans false attempt to reach God through their own works. here is what the scripture says about the only way to salvation and true repentance-Jesus Christ! Home from Poland and Plock Festival! When we arrived four and a half hour to late to Warzawa it was tropical heat down there and nobody was really prepared for that!! We had a GREAT show!! And the new guys did a monsterjob!!!! I have NEVER seen Christofer so happy and energetic on stage as last night!!! The vibe in the band is so so good and everybody is having a great time! We met a lot of people that came from almost every part of the world for this event. Its really stunning! I am proud to be in this band and for our fans!!! Hi everybody!!!! I think its time to reveal the names of the new THERION members now! Drums: Johan "kobie"Kullberg Bass: Nalle "Grizzly"Påhlsson The guys sounds WOW!!!!!! They are super proffessionals!! On lead guitar for the gig in Poland we will use Magnus Barthelsson (He played on the early Therion albums) He will not continue after the gig, but Christofer already have an ace up his sleeve like always!!! He or she will appear on the next Therion album! And the next tour that will take us around the world again! We will use the same WONDERFUL crew on this gig as we always do!! Under command of Mr Richard Peach! Its gonna be great to see the guys again!!! On top of that my lovely girlfriend Ludmila have started to study Swedish...She is already pronouncing better than me! | Today I saw the closing cermony from China olympics!! What an incredible spectacle!!!!! Also my favourite opera singer Placido Domingo sang there!!! His voice is still Incredible!!! Sweden had a pretty bad Olympic luck this time. I think we just had four silver medals or something like that! But anyway!! I am not a huge sportfan. But I love sport when it's The Olympics or worldchampionships and big things! The only exeption is Ice hockey!! That sport I really like and follow leagues all over the world. Also a big congratulations to Argentina (my second home) that won the gold medal in soccer!!! | ||||

So.....here again on Madrids airport waiting for my transfer to Stockholm. I left Buenos Aires yesterday with very heavy steps! Mr Christian Vidal and his friend Viktor are two gentlemen. They took me to the airport early in the morning... Its very hard to leave Ludmila and Argentina! Its like torture to the heart everytime. There is a few people that I like to say I love you to. | Last Saturday we went to Marianos(singer of Etherna) house in Campana for an Asado!! and what an asado!!! Marianos father told me everything about the parilla (The special grill that they are using) And also that they take care of every part of the cow. Yes even the head and the "familypieces"!!!! And Sofies(bassplayer of Etherna)mother made empanadas that were really REALLY good!!! We had a great evening together, with a lot of joking(I had salt and pepper in my wine....)and talking!! Thank you!!!! I had a fantastic evening with you guys!!! I will never forget it!!! And your parents were such wonderful people!! I always leave you guys with a tear in my eye.....I will miss you so so much! But we will meet again!!! Last night I was out o a buffet with my parents in "law" and my brother in "law" and my lovely woman. We went to a buffet that had everything from sushi to pasta to meat (of course). And they had a Marriachi band playing. Mariachi is Mexican folklore!!! Guess who ended up with a sombrero on his head??? Me! Everybody photographed the strange blond guy.....I was blushing very much!! But the band was very very good and their voices were beyond good!! Ludmilas parents does not speak english at all and my spanish is very very poor! But somehow we manage to have such a nice time together. They are really sweethearts, generous, loving people!!! I am proud to know them!!! Tonight me and Miss Recarga....Oh...sorry Ludmila are invited to Christian Vidals(phantom guitar player of Ricky Martins band) house for another Asado. Time is 14.39 and I just woke up! Normally I am up around 07.00. The gig at Acatraz last night was very cool and funny!! And It gave me an opportunity to joke around onstage and improvise a little! and for the first time in a long time I was very nervous! (But in a good way) We did Tears of blood(And Etherna song), Now or never, fooled around a little with Lemuria, And I was almost touched to tears when I sang my own new written song "I left my heart in Argentina". Its a ballad, not even hardrockballad, more jazz....bossanova song..stuff. When I saw all this gothic/metal dressed people started to clap their hands along with it and sing along in the chorus, it was hard to hold back the tears! After that we did Jawbreaker and ended with Son of the staves of times from Therion. After the gig we had a long night in the resturant of tha place. Me and Ethernas guitar player Mr Galazzo also swept a couple of Tequilas.....Uaaak..This drink from hell!!! But so nice anyway! I wanna send a big hug to Etherna guys who are always so nice. Satans night out(very cool and VERY gothic opening act)And everybody who worked with this in a very proffessional way!!! And my wonderful Ludmila who stands up for me even when I am a real bitch in a nervous mood!!! You are the best! I will never in my life forget this evening!!! Thanx everybody! Goodmorning!!!! Another sunny morning in Buenos Aires!!! Springtime is here!!! But I am the only one who thinks that! Yesterday I went to record a song with Christian Vidal in his homestudio. We clicked musically very good also as friends! After that we went to club Acatraz for soundcheck. It all went very smooth!! I will upload new pictures very soon. The whole gang also went out for pizza after the soundcheck. I told to Mati (the sister of my girlfriend) before we went to eat:How much you wanna bet that we will eat pizza tonight??? And so we did! Pizza is probably more popular here than in Italy!! And the pizzas are really good!! REALLY good!! The most common way to order pizza here is to order a monster and share with your friends. But last night I was beyond hungry and ordered a big big Calzone for myself and protected it with my life! After that is was goodnight directly!!!! | This Saturday we reharsed for the show that we are about to do. Me , the band Etherna, the guitar hero Kristian Vidal (who is the guitar player of the singer Eric Martin) and Clara who is a great opera soprano. It all worked VERY good.I was so so happy. The guys brought me presents. Great things! And also for Ludmila! I was realy touched!!!!!!! After we went out everybody to a rockpub called The red bell. A great place with a great atmosphere. Exact my kind of place. Dark, and not so fashionable. We had a lot of fun and a lot to drink. Me and Ludmila came home at six.....And yesterday we went to cinema. But first we had breakfast around 16.00......Just spoke with Mats "Mappe" Björkman from Candlemass. And he told me that they are recording their new album now. Lets wish them the best of luck! This week for me will be some interviews and stuff like that, but also a lot of relaxation. I think Buenos Aires freezes over! Its so so cold here!! But the atmosphere is so warm so it does not matter! | ||||

Yesterday I was hanging out with Charley from the band Etherna and Mati who is the younger brother of Ludmila. We were sitting on an exellent cafe called Persicco. (That means Peach..or Durazno in Swedish) I thought that me and Charley was two crazy guys, but after hanging out with Mati, I realized I am pretty normal...Hahahahhahaha....He is such a clown and so so funny. He is the kind of guy that will charm himself through life!!! Saludos for that! Later me and Charley reharsed a little for the show in Club Alcatraz, and after that me and Ludmila, Charley and Mati went out to eat on a steakhouse called Tucson. Exellent!!! And to have my beautyful warm lady sleeping in my bed does not suck either!!! I am having the time of my life. It is winter here and pretty cold. We have our apartment in Belgrano (my favourite part of Buenos Aires) Very close to Cabildo. Thats a BIG street!!! I say it again, for the 1000 time: If I did not have kids, I would stay here permanentaly!! No doubt about that! The bus comes when it comes....the bus costs nothing(not even for the people here) You are not living through a fucking clock here like in for example Sweden. If you are two minutes late in Sweden people starts to wonder if you died...Its cool!! I like it here very much!! | ||||

| Just got home from Utö in the wonderful archipelago of Stockholm. Me and Pierre(lovers of covers)had a magical night last night. Playing for a sold out venue by the sea in the Swedish summernight. Almost unbeatable. Anything bad about Swedish summer?? YES!! Mosquitos! Thousands of them! And they happen to love me! I have bites all over my body...arms, legs, face....But it's ok! I went home with the boat this morning just to make some final things before I leave for Buenos Aires on Thursday. Tomorrow we go back to do a second night at Utö, and on Wednesday we are doing Ingemarsö (Another Island)And I will go directly from that place to Arlanda airport. Wich is not so common anymore. She prefer going on dates with other men nowdays..Hahahahah... But anyway we had a great time. Back home again from Italy! Had a great time and a lot of good food!! I flew back to Helsinki from Milan and missed my transfer to Kokkola ( a small town in Finland) I called to the Mehida guys and told them that you will have no singer tonight. Mr Harkin told me that there is a train going to a town a 100 km from the gig place and they could send someone to pick me up there. And I finally arrived to Jakobstad Pörkenäs 15 minutes before gig time. It was a VERY VERY strange gig.....And after I slept like a little baby! Feels good to be home. Amazing!! Sitting here in Turin and tomorrow this time I will be in Helsinki Finland. Somtimes I wonder what the hell I am doing....HAAHAHAHA. Today I ......Yeah, what do you think? Eating of course...Went to dinner at The drummer Johns girlfriend Silvia. She made an extraordinary dinner. And yesterday we were at Garys parents house (Gary is the bassplayer)for dinner. So so good, and so so so much!!! I was almost drunk on food!!! Tomorrow I will play with Mehida in Finland and then I will have two days off doing NOTHING back home in Sweden!!! It has been a great week here. The best with Turin: The food, the people, The weather. The worst: The city dies after six a clock. And nobody takes creditcard. | Today I finished my part of the album with the band DemonAngels. Earlier than expected. I have now two free days here in Turin the Olympic city 2006. Its now clear to me that Italy is about food and football. I started this day with Lasagna al Forno. (BREAKFAST!!)And later I was invited for dinner to Chris Falcos house and his girlfriend made us dinner. Meal 1: Antipasto. Meal 2: Pasta pomodoro. Meal 3: Sausage with peppers. Meal 4: Beef, Potatoes, and a parmasana roll with bacon and god knows what more was in that. Meal 5: Coffee with chocolate and vanilla Ice cream. Amazing!! 5 meals!!! in one dinner!! I am in bed now and it feels like I never wanna eat again...I also met the rockstar surpreme Brandon Ashley today in the studio. An Italian guy who is a MEGA star in eastern europe. | I arrived to Milano at 10.00 today after a short transfer in Copenhagen. The three guys of Demon Angels meet me on the Malpensa airport in a rainy Milano. The bassplayers father took us to his cafe that was great. I had a strong Italian coffee wich is served in small dollhouse cups! Then we went for pasta of course. After that I checked in to this beautyful hotel called Residenza Alpi. The gentlemen in the band booked me the suite!! I wish so much I could have Ludmila with me. R.I.P EARL ROOT 29 may 1962 - 23 may 2008 Today I got very sad news. Earl Root who was playing guitar in our opening band on the Therion USA tour Aesma Daeva passed away. I got along with everybody in the band but Earl and I came very close! He was a very very easy funny guy with a lot of homour and a warm heart! And he still had the little child left in his soul! I saw during the tour that he was in terrible pain but I never realize how bad it was. I send my condlences to his family today and to Aesma Daeva. Sleep well Earl! |

| Had a gig last night on a private party and it was great! Thai buffet! Thats the bonus! All the good food!Friday the 2nd I started the recordings on the new Dark Illusion album. We are recording with the multitalent Chris Laney (also my childhood friend)in the legendary Polar studio. Also used by Led Zeppelin, ABBA, Genesis, Jimi Hendrix...and a lot more so I felt I had some good company and spirit there. The result is gonna be pretty cool. Typical classic metal. I was also speaking with a guy called Lennart Östlund who worked with all this great legends. He had some great stories!!! He celebrated 30 years in the busyness that particular day! Congrats great man!! Today I fixed with the travel agency to go to Buenos Aires. I travel the 24th of July. I'm starting to miss my woman VERY much!!! | ||||

I just came home from my mother Brita that had her Birthday today. She turned 77!!!! And that "girl" are going to the KISS concert with me. she says: That Paul Stanley have a nice butt....Thats my mother. What can I say. Last night I had my daughter here and her boyfriend and three more friends of her. A teen evening. I locked myself in to the computer room and spent the evening with my lady in the screen Ludmila. we chatted until the sun came up....We can never stop when we start. But ..Thats a good sign I think! | Yesterday I set a personal record! I recorded backing vocals on a full CD with a Swedish Orchestra called Wahlströms. I did the whole album in less than a day!! And there was a lot to sing!! Tomorrow I am invited to attend the annual premiere for the amusementpark Gröna Lund. I go with my daughter and her NEW boyfriend and my buddy Pierre. It's going to be fun!! | ||||

On my way to a city called Vadstena to do backing vocals on an album with a Swedish country band. It was along time since I was on a train! Its very good!! And they of course have free internet here in first class as the genltlemen in the band booked for me. Last night I did a gig for a company called Frödinge. They are making pies pastries and sauces and so on. A great great company with happy people!! They rocked! And the best of all: As a bonus the gave me so much food I could hardly fill my refridgerator when I got home!!! Hail to Frödinge!!! |

Spring is here now!! Great!!! It has been a long long winter! I just got home from a gig on the beutyful island "Utö" that are located just outside Stockholm. If you have a possibility to visit that island you should!! I will play there in July 12 20 and 22nd!!Acoustic!! Just take the boat from Nynäshamn and jump off at the last island called "Ålö" and you are there! We play outdoors just by the sea and it's just beautyful!!! Hope to see some of you there! Thomas V |

It is now official that Petter, Johan and Kristian has decided to leave Therion. It's no hard feelings at all involved in their decision. And it has been a great honor to play with those guys!!! Just came home from a gig with Black Brigade. My sons band! It's so fun to see him onstage playing that bass...The music sounds just fine, but they have to improve their stage presence much more!!! some of the guys in the band looks like they are doing homework or something. Or are very interrested in their own shoes. It does not look good when your singing about swords of fire and dragons that will vomit on you with fire acid in the deepest dark of hell...HHahahahahah...BUT, I have learned to shut up and not put my big nose in their band!! They will realize it themselves one day!! But it was great to see them anyway! It's also now comfirmed that Therion will do one gig this year. The 6th of september in Plock in Poland. A big Festival. Its gonna be great!! Polish fans are really wild!!!!!!AND THE BEST: FREE ENTRANCE! JUST SHOW UP!! I have not seen the guys since the tour ended in December. I miss them!!! Thomas V |

As you might know the new Mehida album is recorded and will be out in September. June 15 I go down to Turin Italy and record with a band Called Demon Angels and later this month I will start to record the new album of Dark Illusion. A lot of things to do. I have also some news candy for all Therion fans but I am not allowed to say anything about that yet. But stay tuned!!!!!!!! | Just finished the recording for today here in the lovely Drumforrest studios. Yes StudioS!! There are actually more than one!! Me and Mikko are recording the vocals in one studio. And Olli(Mehidas new guitar player)is doing he s part in the other studio. Niklas one of the owners is making everything to make us feel good. He makes top class food all the time!! Todays menu was Pasta with meatsauce and greece sallad, and blueberrypie and rhubarb icecream for dessert.The music?? Complicated as hell!! But it will be very good I think!! If not for my kids and for my work I would stay in Argentina.I will also tip my hat for my new friends I made. The guys in ETHERNA with familys, Puerto sol stuff in Gualeguayu,Monzon family that welcomed me with open arms to their beautyful house in Belgrano Buenos Aires. Ana, Carmen, Orlando and crazy Mati!! I have also become addicted to MATE. The national drink. Mate is a kind of herbal tea very hard to describe. But the biggest hug and deepest kiss goes to the best girlfriend in the world Ludmila. You made this holiday unforgetable! People in latin and southamerica are so kind and cool. Someone told me its because youre a rockstar. That guy was SO WRONG!!! | ||||

Can you belive its raining?? Bah....It doesnt matter at all!! The air is still very hot and the rain feels just refreshing! Last night we were at the Pre carneval here where they elected the queen of the carneval. It was a marathon show. (5 hours) with high class entertainment even thou this was just PRE show!! I lot of tits and shaking asses from the girls and a lot of muscular male bodies!! And the outfits they wore made kiss dresses look like pyjamas costumes..This carneval thing is unexplainable. You just have to see it for yourself!! After that we went very tired for a pizza. After sitting on aplastic chair for 5 hours you are pretty hungry! | Last night me and Pierre played for the top of the top names of the richest people from the financial companies in Sweden. The party they had costed probably more that I will earn in a lifetime!! But those guys really knew how to party!!And a couple of years ago we played in a "seniorliving" place for REALLY old people. TAlk about seeing two different worlds!!! We were playing a song and that particular song pulled some string inside one of those old ladies in the front. Here eyes were so old but suddenly it has the light of a young girl when we played that song and she was clapping her old hands and she was so happy!! They wanted us to stay and drink coffey with them and so we did!! And its so nice to hear those old people talking about their youth and their memories!! I think we all should take some time and stop and listen to them sometime!! | ||||

We eat and drink and talk a lot of tour memories (both peppered and salted) and laugh a lot and act like little boys!! Well, we also collect money for charity. | Yesterday I was in Eskilstuna(a small town one hour from Stockhlm) The Kisscoverband KYZZ that I invented over ten years ago should play. It was sort of like a little festival gig called The Monsters of covers!! It was Kyzz(kiss),AB/CD(ac/dc)with Mets Leven!!Ozzy the coverband, and Crazy Crue (Motley Crue) And The Poodles as headliners. I went there together with my friend Johan Koleberg(Peter Criss) and his girlfriend Nurije and Chris Laney(Paul Stanley).When we got there the first person I met was Mats Leven. I did not know he was gonna play also. He is doing an exact copy of Brian Johnson of AC/DC! I was invited to get up and sing "Heavens on fire"with Kyzz. It was great and the audience went nuts!! I will put up some pics tonight or tomorrow!! We had some great laughs last night and it was like meeting your brothers again. Talking old tour memories...I was talking with Mats about writing a book with touring stories, but it would be impossible because we will have no friends left after that book is out!! | Today I had my first singing class in a long time. I taught a lot before. Today the doorbell rang and outside stood a father and a 14 year old girl. I said to them come in!! Usually I dont sing to much the first lesson. I take the pulse on the pupil first. I did not this time!! This little girl start to charm me of the chair.Talkin...talking talking.... And when she finally starts to sing my jaw dropped!! I just said...WOW!! Come back next wednesday and we will start!!If that girl is not a star in some years I will eat my hat!! While I was away with Therion, my friend and former Therion singer Mats Leven has been singing with Pierre. Its a real mess hahahahaah!!! Sometimes all the three of us play together. And sometimes we also bring with us Johan Koleberg (ex Lions Share, Zan Clan, Randy Pipers Animal, Carola)on drums. We play covers on weddings, parties, kickoffs....Bla bla. Its fun!! So if you are gonna get married, have a birthday...Or just a kickass party. Just book us!! You can book just me, just Pierre...You design the concept!! Merry Christmas everybody!!! Finally home after the 20th anniversary tour Adulruna Rediviva. 16 shows in a row, 16 cities. Paris was the last city to see Therion live in a very long time. We had Messiah Marcolin from Candlemass onstage, Original singer Piotr. And Mats Leven came up onstage and did Blood of Kingu with us! Unfortunately we had to leave straight after the show. There are a few people I want to tip my hat for!! In utmost respect! Richard Peach ( The best tourmanager and my mentor!!This guy knows the shit! He is also our sound engineer!!)Chris Parschau(The guy that makes all the flashy lighning!! | Yesterdays show in Rennes was a good one!! Everybody in the band are sort of burned out, but once we are onstage we are like troopers!! If Toulouse had the best catering Rennes had the worst. They took us to a resturant. My food was to be nice eatable. But the vegitarians had a plate with one tomato, one cucumber, one leaf of lettuce and a little clumse of COLD rice. That was it. Christofer went mad as a dog! And went to the promotor and shouted: Would you be satisfied with this for dinner?? I will play for three hours tonight!! Tonight is the last show with Therion in a very long time! It feels strange!! We will leave directly after the gig for Dusseldorff and then fly home tomorrow. No afterparty tonight. I will later today put up a list of people that have been impossible to be without on this tour!!! | ||||

| Yesterday concert was a real funny one. In the middle of the gig Petters snaredrum had to be switched, so me and Snowy had to improvise. I sang some Edith Piaff and Procul Harum and Ferdy played piano. The audience loved it!! I think they really appreciated to see another side of Therion. This morning I went up early to see a little. I looked out the window of the bus and found just an industrial area!! But shame to the ones who give up!! I just wet out anyway and found this beautyful channel with old boats that people actually lived on or..in!Then I was all of a sudden in Ramonville centre. Really small and very much like Haninge where I live. I bought a hairbrush and some topz for my ear that is totally blocked still!! Thats the reason why I just use the inear in my right ear!! I am totaly deaf on the left one. When I came out from the shopping mall there was a guy sitting outside the mall shaking in the cold air. He was homeless and probably on some drugs of some kind. We started to talk a little and I gave him some cigarettes and he started to cry of happiness and gave me a hug! His name was Damien and I told him that I could put him on the guestlist tonight. But he said he was to ashamed to go. Because he did not have proper clothing and was unclean etc etc. Then we said goodbye. Somehow I will never forget that guy and that sad/happy meeting! Now I am sitting waiting for soundcheck at Le Bikini. The venue for tonight! Its a new place and its very nice and the catering is delicous. Only Hungary had the same class catering! | ||||

I was up very early this morning and took a coffee and a smoke. I hanged around with our second driver Paul Mainhart. He is from England. Our Maindriver is German.His name is Klaus. He woke up and the comedy started. These two gentlemen has a vocabulary with eachother that is hardly not printable. They call eachother bitch..motherfucker....Klaus called Paul Island monkey...Hahahah..What they really saying to eachother is..I LOVE YOU MAN!!!! I really like to hang around with our crew. | Back home from a very bumpy flight from Kiev...Or Kyiv as they say down there. The plane was shaking forth and back and to the side and dropping and lifting..I personally slept the whole flight cause I have fever and a bad cold. Poor Katarina was all pale and cried again. Johan Niemann threw up..Well there you go!Personally I am not afraid to fly anymore. But I was once and its not a funny feeling! Finally the Gothic Kabbalah tour has come to an end. After the show me Christofer and Richard Peach and our backline tech Dominik were invited to a Lebanese resturant called Pachera! We had a nice evening together with the Ukrainian promotors. I was talking to the manager of the resturant who was a BIG lebanese gentleman. And I promised him to put the name up here on his resturant so..PACHERA!! Thats it!! Its a little embarrasing when fans asks...How do you like Kiev?? Well..the only sad thing with touring is that you mostly dont have time to see anything. That was the case with Kiev. | Outside the JAXX venue in Springfield. Its like spring in the air but its supposed to be autumn. Last night in New York was one of the coolest gigs in USA. The crowd was great and I absolutely loved the city!! I went out after soudcheck in this huge city. I walked for one hour up to Empire state building, Madison square garden..(NY Rangers had a homegame last night) I came back to the club one hour before the gig and the place was packed!! It feels strange..Today is the last gig on this leg of the tour and on the 4th we go home to Sweden again. And I will get to see my kids again!! I will hug them for hours!! We hung backstage after concert and had a signing session. They had also first class catering and a great bar they called The Rock Rock!! Went to see Heaven and Hell and Ronnie James Dio really showed that dispite his age he still got the pipes and the V chords!! Tomorrow we will fly back to US for a gig in Denver Colorado. Another elevet hour flight! And btw in Denver I have to replace Snowy because His passport was stolen so USA wont let him in to the country again until his new visa has been approved....Cruel world!! | ||||

Finally here! After a very long trip with the absolute fantastic Singapore Airlines flight SQ 11!! Just checked in to this fashionable hotel just a few minutes from the Saitama Super Arena wich is normally a baseball Stadium, But tomorrow its for Therion and of course a pack of other bands. We only do a 40 minute show tomorrow. I also hope I can get around to see this town tomorrow and do some shopping! | Sitting in Quintzal internetcafe on Polk street with a medium coffee half a litre or something...We play tonight at the Slims club just ten minutes from our hotel. Our hotel does not have internet connection so I had to find this internetcafe to keep you updated. I know it is early to say, but I already miss south/latin america so much!!!!! The warmth of the people, the smell. Everything!! This place called USA has everything you can buy for money...But I dont think it ever can capture my heart like latin/south america have done!!! | Woke up and felt something strange!! My lower arm was the double size and my right chest...I have probably beeing bitten by a spider during sleep!!! My lower arm looks like a rugbyball!! But I feel good so it's probably nothing dangerous. Last night we had a signing session here in Chihuahua. It was great. I had a chat with lovely Miss Ludmila Monzon from Argentina who is hosting the Radioshow Ahora a Nunca in Buenos Aires. They are broadcasting the very funny interview we did when I was there! I also wanna give some cred to the staff at this hotel. It's called Microtel inns and suites. Especially a guy named Pepe. He took his own car to go and buy cigarettes to me in the middle of the night!! And he didn't want anything from me..That's what I call a gentleman and true service!!! I am a little sad because this is the last show we do in this part of the world. Tomorrow starts the USA part of the tour! I have really come to love South and latin and central America!! | Fantastic town!! This looks like I've always pictured Mexico. Mountains all around the city. Sort of a hot sweaty feeling...You can almost hear the coyotes howling in the night!! We live in a small bur VERY nice hotel. Tonight there is an autograph session at 21.30 and tomorrow gigtime!! In the van from the airport they played Therion on the radio all the time and did very cool advertising for the show tomorrow! I really look forward to this gig!! The view when the sun went down behind the mountains was....WOW!! I will try to wake up early tomorrow to see it go up too!! | ||||

| Last night we played at the smallest place so far on the tour. The stage was so small we couldn't use our standard risers and so on. The stage was also placed almost three meters over the audience. But the gig went on well and people went crazy!! Snowy started the show with: HEY HEY,MONTERREY!!! And off we went!Today we fly to Chihuahua at 13.30 and tomorrow we do the gig there. Finally morning!! This hotel is placed in the middle of nowhere. And there is absolutely Nothing. Zero to do!!The staff is really nice and everything and the food is great!! Yesterday I was so bored and went to bed 17.00 and woke up at midnight. No water in my room, went out in the middle of the night to find cigarettes and water. After a long walk in some dark quarters I found a little open gas station(god bless them)Bought water and cig and went straight back! Went to bed again, couldn't sleep. around two I fell asleep again and woke up an hour ago!! Lucky me it's a gig tonight!! I am really looking forward to it!!! Msn is the best way to have contact with the near and dear. On this hotel?? Not working!! But now today it suddenly does....Well,I should not complain!! Arrived to Guadalajara for 30 minutes ago, and I finally got it: The revenge of Montezuma!! My stomage are absolutely turned around in cramps during the bus trip here. Now I starting to feel a little better!! Last nights gig in Aguascalientes was absolutely great. And the audience were crazy! We had also a great chef that hanged around us at the backstage area. I was almost blushing because he wouldn?t even let me light my own cigarette. He was such a gentleman! I also got some fantastic gifts from some fans. In fact so cool I will wear it onstage tonight! So strange to play here and don't have the chance to see anything of the town!! The gig was fantastic!! Full house(3.300) It was also like christmas for us in the band. We had a whole family coming with gifts for us. The most amazing things they had created with their own hands. Neckless, a scrapbook made from scratch with own paper ets. I am speachless!! Today we have been all day to the Japanease consulate here in Mexico City to fix (again) with the working visas!! Took a long time. Also gave away my boots to a fan! He was worth it! A strange thing happened today. When we arrived at the hotel Sheraton there was a crowd of people buuing and throwing stuff!! I thought that Therion ain't so popular here. But it was because of the Mexican president was at our hotel. Also Al Gore!!! So the hotel was sort of sealed from the inside!! Tomorrow we go to Aquacalientes. Sorry if miss spelled!! Just got back from the show. The audience was great and the security was absolutely the best so far!! But the venue and the rest was a disaster. The soundcheck was about to happen at 14.00 we got there at 18.45 and the show started 20.30. I have to tip the hat for our crew that does a hell of a job for us. It's hard to explain how hard their job is, but it is!!! So thumbs up for: Richard Peach(the best and funniest tourmanager in the world)"Pedda" Hablick(Monitor and bass and guitar tech. Well...what can I say? Sitting at the hotel today with an acheing throat. I got some good medication so it already feels better now. Today we did a radioshow here and played unplugged in the studio. About the Buenos Aires gig? What a crowd!! It was amazing! The day after I did a radio interview and I was taking a taxi to the studio. The taxi drive was supposed to take 10 minutes took me one hour...Finally at studio I did the interview with the very proffessional programleader Ludmilla Monzon. After that I took Miss Monzon to dinner at Rio de la Plata. It was very pleasant!! So..today we play at The citi bank hall here, and tomorrow we fly off to Santiago Chile. We just got back from the gig at Teatro Fundadores(Sold out) I had a real dip today before the gig.But as soon as we got on stage I was cured!! Colombian fans are really dedicated!! I thought they would tear down the whole theatre. I also thought the balcony would break...Imagine around 400 people jumpin up and down on the same time..Tomorrow the promotor will take us on a sightseeing!! Thats great. Last night Mr Snowy Shaw and I opened the window from our hotel rooms and looked out over the mountains and city of Quito and said almost simultaniously: We are two lucky bastards who gets the chance to see and do this. We probably don´t deserve half of it!! We won the lottery!! Last night there was also a pressconferance and a meet and greet with the fans. It´s always the best moments when we have the chance too meet up with the fans. The people that make this thing roll! This morning I woke up 06.00 and saw the sunrise over this town. I´m speachless! Now we will go up to the mountains with one of the bodyguards "Cato from Quito" He is one of the biggest men I´ve ever seen!! He won the Ecuador championships in Karate 1998! So We are safe with him! After that we have two TV shows and one Radio Interview. We start every morning with a cup of Koka tea! It´s tea made from the Kokabush. Makes the breathing a lot easier! And you feel like newborn!! Hola!! Just arrived to the great city of Quito. The capitol of Ecuador! Its an amazing city 2000 meters above the sea! The thin air and jetlag makes you a bit dizzy! People are friendly and food is great! We are staying at the Gran hotel Mercuria in the middle of the town. The Airport was packed with fans that waited for our arrival. Amazing!! For you who tries to call me or send sms, dont! Because I (or no one in the band) dont have any signal or connection at all. From evening 23 september I could be contacted again. Today we have a press conferance at 19.00 then tonoght there will be an early sleep in my fantastic room in my fantastic bed!! Write you more soon!! Hugs Thomas V |

| The legend is true! The pubs, the buildings, the atmosphere, nice people. Its Dublin Ireland! Just got home from this beautyful town. If you have the chance go there! We played at a club called The Tripod! The gig was good, I finally got my new in ear system, audience were awesome as usual. Now its time to do some reality things. Pay bills, pack bags, buy needful stuff and so on. Next week we leave for Quito Ecuador and the rest of South America!! | ||||

| Down in the lobby at SAS Radisson hotel Helsinki. A great hotel! Yesterday we had a great trip on M/S Gabriella from Stockholm to Finland. We were also joined by Iza.A fan from France.And she showed us her Swedish language skills...We were picked up at the harbor by local promoter Jouni in perfect time!! Thank you! Now I will take Miss Katarina Lilja out for some sightseeing. This is her first Finland visit! Then soundcheck around 14.00. | ||||

| Time to rock Finland and Helsinki. Tomorrow we take the Viking Line boat to Helsinki. It's gonna be great to have time to hang around with the band on the boat. It takes 12 hours to Finland from Stockholm with boat. And on Tuesday we will rock the pants off Helsinki. Our beloved neighbours in the east.We will play at a club called Tavastia. | Puh....Finally back from Israel!! It was a long travel with looong lay overs in Prague Airport. The gig was fantatic and the fans were wonderful and totally wild!! We had a little meet and greet after the show signing and took photos with the fans. Very Nice! After the show we went right back to the hotel to get our personal stuff and went right away to Tel Aviv airport. The security level in Israel is very high, so it took us 1.30 hours to get through all the controls and everything. On the airport in Prague We were stopped by Therion fans from Belarus. Great!! They took Photos with us and autographs and a long chat at the pub there. It was cold to come back home to Sweden. Here its around 15C now, and when we left Israel it was 30C in the NIGHT! Israel was great!! On Tuesday Finland!! | ||||

| Hi everybody! Sitting here in Tel Aviv with a hungry Snowy Shaw. We had a day of here in Israel today and it has been fantastic. Me and the girls and the Niemann bros been on the beach all day, and we ended up having a great dinner with local promotor Yurij! We had also the biggest pint of bear I have ever seen! It is really hot here. You take a shower and one minute after you are soaking with sweat. Tomorrow we are playing at exhibition grounds and fly back to Sweden right after the gig.
